As you begin this journey, there are a few things I want you to know:
First and foremost, congratulations on making the most important decision that you will ever make. The Bible says in Luke 15:7 that all of Heaven rejoices when a single person is saved, and I believe that heaven is celebrating your decision today!
Your past is freely forgiven
Colossians 1:14 says that you are redeemed and forgiven. Forgiveness cannot be earned through your own efforts, but it is a gift from God paid for by the blood of Jesus!
You have a God-given purpose
John 15:16 says that you have been chosen and appointed by God. He placed you on this Earth for a reason. He wants to use you and your story to make an eternal difference!
God has prepared a space for you in heaven
Philippians 3:20 says that you are a citizen of Heaven. Praise God! You are going to spend eternity with the One True King.
The Bible says in Zechariah 4:10 that we are not to despise small beginnings, as the Lord rejoices to see the work begin. My prayer for you as you start this journey is that you would not despise the beginning but instead hold onto the promise found in Philippians 1:6 that the Lord, who has begun a good work in you, will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
